Concept of the Project

It is observed that many Navi Mumbai stations lack the specific provisions for a recreational space around them. Providing recreational spaces near stations can be used for multiple activities and also tackle the primary needs of people on foot. Worldwide, recreational areas are integrated with landscaping and informal commercial spaces, parks, riverside walkways, promenades, etc.

Concept of the Project

I have used this site at Ghansoli station, to demonstrate how this can be made possible for all age groups. Children need safety barriers; more elderly people need respite and spaces where they can walk at their own pace, also providing proper spaces where there are transport interchanges and also a variety of land uses on the site.

Spatial Experience

- We have used different landscape elements to give different spatial experiences.

- A spatial experience is an experience relating to space that involves people in a certain activity within a context.

- It evolves from an introspective exploration of the user's mission and passion; the building program or function: its site context, and often its place in history.

Why Spatial Experience?
